Overhaul at JM Automotive

In classic cars, we often see engines showing signs of wear and tear over the years. Oil seals harden, become porous, and start to leak oil. Oil pressure can also decrease, and gaskets lose their seal over time. Thanks to our experience and extensive range of machinery, we can resolve these issues entirely in-house, from replacing oil seals and gaskets to a complete engine overhaul.

At JM Automotive, we can completely overhaul, machine, and rebuild engines. Thanks to our extensive range of machinery, we carry out all machining operations in-house. Below is an overview of what we have in-house:

Cylinder heads/engine block

  • Flat surfaces of cylinder heads and engine blocks
  • Overhauling cylinder heads
  • Replacing valve guides and valve seats
  • Grinding valves
  • Grinding camshafts

Crankshaft

  • Grinding crankshafts
  • Balancing crankshafts
  • Checking crankshafts for cracks with Magnaflux

Milling / drilling / honing

  • Milling valve seats
  • Drilling cylinders
  • Honing cylinders
  • Line drills and line hammers

Our assembly room

In addition to the machines needed to completely overhaul an engine, we also have a special assembly area where all parts are carefully reassembled after overhaul. Here we work in a clean, well-lit environment to ensure that each part is assembled exactly according to factory specifications. All components are carefully checked, measured, and adjusted if necessary beforehand, so that the engine not only functions like new again, but is often more durable and efficient than in its original condition.

By carrying out the entire process, from disassembly and machining to assembly and final adjustment, in-house, we maintain complete control over quality and finish. This enables us to deliver high-quality results that meet the requirements of both classic car enthusiasts and demanding drivers.
